Running line for Shooting heads

I apologize for originally putting this post in the NE regional section. It's going to take a while to get used to the new set-up. Anyway, the question was, Can anyone recommend a good running line to accompany a RIO head system for a 7 wt. I heard good things about the RIO lines and was thinking about getting 4 0r 5 heads from them. Anyone with bad experience with these lines, especially heads?
Thanks, Joel

RE: Running line for Shooting heads

I don't have any experience with Rio's heads, but do use Orvis' all the time.I like the 38' length of the Orvis heads. The added length seems to load the rod better. I just bought Orvis'Wonderline .034"running line. I plan to give it a workout next month in the Bahamas. Will let you know if the performance = the price. I also use braided mono but attach a 20' length of Sci-Anglers running line to the end of the braided mono so I'm not working on the braid. Can't help but think the braid has a tendency to saw thru the guides over time.Anyone else think this?
If you can, try the Orvis heads to compare with the Rio heads. Rusty Hooke
