Airline Security

Just curious about how this have changed since Sept 11. Can you still carry-on rods? Reels? I am assuming hooks and pliers, etc. are outta the questions.

Any stories would be great. I am planning a trip to Honduras and would like to hear of anyones experiences there.

Thanks

The airlines I have flown since 9/11 ( US Air, Delta, and Bahamasair) will not let you carry on rods anymore. I have carried on reels and flies with no problem. I check a multi-purpose tool. I think you should check with the airlines and save yourself potential hassles, I hate not having my own gear.
