Thumbs up Roanoke River striper fishing

Water is very low and the huge numbers of fish have not come up yet. We are getting our share however. Had big fish right to the boat but the guy reeled the rod tip right to the fish before I could stop him and then things went SNAP! Another fish was hooked that ran out all the line the guy was holding under max pressure and then ran another 50 yards of line off the reel and then shook the hook loose. Sure would have liked to get a peak at that fish. It's about ready to break loose water or no water. Keeper season ends on the last day of April and then the crowds will drop by 75%. Weekends would be another story however. Good luck out there.
