Things I learned...

at my first worm hatch.

1. My flies looked nothing like the worms that night.

2. Their erratic motion was difficult for me to imitate.

3. The Stripers, present in good numbers, were aware of one and two... ignoring all offerings.

Thanks to rockfisherman for yet another RI outing. Who knew a skunk could be so good

Sam post a picture of your fly. (That way I'll know if I can use my worm flies or not)

I used to do this trout fishing at home....bring some tying supplies with you...pull off, take 20 minutes and tie a fly that matches the hatch...if you have a kayak it won't take up space and oyu have something to clamp the vice....or put like a 1'x1' piece of plywood in a shoulder bag.....to clamp the vice....may take 20 minutes or so for the glues to dry but its worth the wait for finicky bass....

Worm hatches in ponds on southside if we get several sunny warm days in a row to heat the back coves up to 70
