Brenton Point Goin Fishing(swimming)

Well I was out with G-man on saturday morning. He tacktfully neglected to mention the exciting adventure part of the morning. Well there we were in a nice calm sheltered spot. Talking . To my immediate left were cliffs wind waves and current from the right . broadside to the rocks. I got that sudden warm tingly feeling of a bad thing about to happen. Too close to the rocks. Exciting adventure coming up. Then ability of a small narrow boat to ride even a small wave broadside is entirely dependent on its freedom to ride the wave with no restrictions. No space and no ride. Add to that the fact that wave power about tripples in effect when it runs into a wall of granite and you can guess the results. Now for the good part. MTI makes a good pfd. Most everything{except me} stayed attatched to the boat and the water was quite comfortable. With G-mans help we got the boat empty upright and me reloaded. The t6hing is we were by Greenbridge in a sheltered area because I didn't like the building waves off Brenton point. Shear inattention(stupidity} on my part. So lust because its seems calm remember Murphy look for the complacent. Thanks again for the assist G-man. EKG

Hi Ed,
Your quite welcome.
Just glad your OK, and I assume the cut on the knee is alright.
Yes, high adventure indeed.

Thanks for showing me around.
Oh, that longshore shack had great fish & chip...thanks.
