Question huatulco mexico

Has anyone fished the Huatulco region of Mexico? Have you fished along the beaches down there? Any roosters about? Other species/flies? Thanks for any assistance.

I stayed at Cub Med. a couple of years ago and tried to fish as much as possible. I found that a nearby harbor town had a bunch of boats (pangas) with guides very anxious to take you out. Step out of the taxi at the waterfront and they will be all over you. Price is more than reasonaable and you can negotiate even a better deal.......The harbor I believe is the first town North of Huatulco but I can't remember the name......It's recently been fixed up and the area was very nice........They were not very familiar with fly equipment but I quickly wisened them up as there are tons of bonito just off the shore and can be readily chased.......and caught..... the water boils from the massive schools.......The guides generally want to go chase Dorado ( which was just fine) but they use stiff spin or trolling equipment, if you have your own gear I think you'll be happier........Didn't do much off the beach.......Maybe you will have some luck . Club Med didn't want me to annoy thefish around their grounds.....but the ease and action to be had cheaply with the panga boys readily made up for it........ You should have a good time.
