Smile Piscataqua River - bass and bait everywhere!

Lots of bass busting bait tonight in the 5-7pm timeframe between the beach and the pier off of Fort Foster. Didn't bring my rod as I was there for a cookout, but bait was everywhere and so were the bass! Lots of bass breaching and slapping bait with their tails. Most looked to be in the 30+ inch range.

Many terns working bait out betweem Whaleback light and the beach on the Kittery side too.

Had my yak with me. Wish I brought my rod!

I may be there tomorrow evening!

-Mike

Mike (or anyone in the area),
Shhoot me an e-mail if you want company out there. I am in Portsmouth and always looking for a new yak / fishing partner to share the fun with. I just returned from vacation and can't wait for the fall fishing here!

Regards,
Matt

I was out there in my boat on Monday. There was a ton of Blues working the bait. I did get three bass over 30" the biggest was 35 1/2". Sounds like they've camped out.

I was out last Sunday and Monday morning from around 5-8 in the morning and there was lots of schoolie activity down near the mouth of the oyster river. Hopefully the great fishing continues
