sb4: advance weather report looks like the usual crap... there are plenty of fish out front but safety comes first. watch how the forecast develops. with a north wind coming right down the river, a lee may be hard to come by. talk to the Balint's at the Fish Connection in Preston, CT for first rate advice on current conditions, freshwater license if you fish north of I-95, put-ins etc. Sat am looks best but only in relative terms. If it ends up being a blow-out, don't despair, there's opportunity in the Thames right up to Christmas. be safe.
p.s.: if you can sneak out of work, go tomorrow and launch at Bayberry Lane in Groton, fish out front of the islands in the lee.
