Hacienda Del Mar- Panama

Hi! We're planning a trip to the Hacienda Del Mar on Isla San Jose in the Las Perlas Archipelago next February. I'm trying to find information about the fishing on this island. One of the outdoor television channels recently ran a special re: this place. It looked pretty good. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Amy.

I've sent a couple of clients there over the past couple of years.
Don't expect much in the way of offshore fishing (billfish, tuna) at that time of year. But you will probably do very well with grouper, snapper, etc.

Thanks for the info. When is the best time of year to catch billfish, tuna, etc? Have you heard anything about the actual resort on the island (Hacienda Del Mar) Thanks, Amy.

I sent the same guy there twice, once with a couple of friends for the fishing, and the second time with his wife, although he fished the second time as well.
The place is gorgeous unspoiled jungle with lots of places to wander. The island is owned or leased from the government by the person who owns Aero Perlas, the local commuter type airline.
The bluewater fishing doesn't get started there until some time in May.
