MV guide for late August

I'm looking for a guide the week of 8/19-8/26 on MVY. I primarily flyfish, and wouldn't mind splitting a charter if anyone is interested (unless someone happens to have a boat and a generous heart :). Any recommendations for a guide?

Cooper Gilkes (Coop) and Jamie Boyle are both great guides and accomplished flyfishermen themselves. I suspect you can reach either of them through Coop's store, Coop's Bait and Tackle Shop in Edgartown.

I was on MV last September (during the hurricaine!) and went out with Ken Vanderlaske for a night shore fishing trip with a buddy of mine. This guy is top-notch and fun gentleman to be around. For the South Cape Area and potentially MVY I'd recommend Capt Doug Jowett. He is probably booked but it would be worth your while to speak with him--even if only to get recommendations from him. I fished with im in late Sept last year for two days out of his 18' Maritime Skiff. We had six hookups and four albies to the boat. I highly recommend Cooper Gilkes of Coop's Bait and Tackle in Edgartown. I grew up on Martha's Vineyard and am quite familiar with Cooper's fishing knowledge and expertise. I know that if I was limited to one week to catch fish, whether it be Albacore, Bonito, Bluefish, or Stripers I would put my money with Cooper. Cooper is a very experienced fly fisherman and an Orvis certified guide. I am confident that not only will he put you on fish, but he will also show you a first class time as well.
