winston xdlt

I'm waiting on two rods to come in the mail, a 10wt and an
8wt winston xdlt. I bought them on the internet but never
fished one. Any comments on these rod

I cast them at the fly show. I loved them, (better then the 5 piece stuff)Fast but not super fast.
PS You must be a gambling man, laying out that kind of dough on a rod you never cast ;-);

The rods were going pretty cheap, and I figure I could easily resell them if I don't like them.

I have an 8 wt. xdlt -- great rod. Powerful, fast and smooth. The only "problem" with the rod is that it's a bit tip heavy. I had a 7/8 Orvis DXR reel that I needed to upgrade to a 9/10 DXR to get it balanced the way I like it.

So, if you haven't bought a reel yet, wait until you get the rod.
