Fathers Day
The wife and I got the Fathers Day deal taken care of on Saturday, leaving Sunday am free and clear to hit the flats between Rockport and Aransas Pass. Early Sunday morning, the winds switched from due South to North (with a little West) and rolled in, keeping me at the dock. This lasted a couple of hours, then calmed down and allowed me to get out there for a couple of hours. Fishing was tough, but I did manage to scrape a couple slot reds on a coppered colored, short, Sea Ducer type fished slow.
Around lunch time, there were some more thunder boomers building and I decided to call it a day, secure in the knowledge that I still had a 3 hour drive back to Houston. I have a long weekend coming up this weekend and I hope my time spent on the water will be a little more. Tight Loops out there. AC
