Fifty-Five LB.Striper Taken at Plum Island by 14 yr. old angler
A 14 year boy caught a 55 pound striper on a boat with 25 pound test using fresh herring at the mouth of the Merrimack. The monster was weighed in at Elm street baitshop in Salisbury on July 30.!!
The last +50 lbr. recorded at Plum Island was weighed in at Surf Land Bait & Tackle in 1991!
Still looking for mine...
There are unconfirmed reports of a 54 lb. fish taken a week ago. Does anyone know if it was weighed in and where?
