Sluggo's & BFT's

Looking for advice on how to rig Sluggo's for BFT's. In particular what hook to use. I use Sluggo's for Stripers all the time so I'm familiar with the standard rigging method. Looking at the standard Sluggo hooks, they don't look rugged enough to standup to Mr. Tuna.
Since we're out of the Cape Ann area the BFT's are still out of range, but they seem to be getting ready to move into Mass Bay. Would definetly like to have all of the right "tools" in the "box" if they show up.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated !

There's really no way that a jerkbait hook is going to hold up to tuna, so here's what some people do: get a small spring (Tru Turn Hooks makes them specifically for holding soft-plastic baits) and twist one end onto the bend of a heavy-guage tuna-style hook, then twist the other end into the head of the Slug-Go, so the bait is simply hanging off the end of the hook bend. If you need additional casting weight you can try sliding an egg sinker down the leader ahead of the hook. Good luck.
