Weekend Fishing Report
Fished sunset on Friday off some spoil islands in Grant. Hot action on small jigs and clousers for sea trout, large ladyfish, and 2-5 lb jacks. Action was pretty consistent with a hit or two on each cast.
Went out today (Sunday) for a few hours in the afternoon. The boaters and waverunners kept the fish down. Finding some out of the way spots was key and several good size trout were caught, a couple of ladies, and one 5lb pompano. The fish was huge! My wife hooked and fought something huge for about 20 minutes before we realized it was a a giant stingray. What a bummer!
Anyone else get out?
