Block Island
After checking the weather report, I decided Stellwagen was out of the question for today, so I took the ferry to Block Island to play with the boat that's over there. Good decision. We probably had our lines in the water a total of 60 minutes and had a higher catch per unit effort than any other time this year. Doubles were the norm. The smallest bass were 38" and there were some blues in the mix for good measure too. Everything was 30 feet and deeper today, so I was running wire. Swimming plugs worked very well for the short time we were on the water.
Wire + good size fish = tired anglers. My wife and son were very happy to return to the slip for lunch at noon.
Not many days like this left...
