Power Gum ???

Hi Gang,
I've heard (in a Lefty Book) about a product called either Power Gum or Shock Gum.
It is supposed to be like a tippet/leader material that streaches like a rubber band.
You are supposed to use a little bit of it (like maybe 6" between line and leader) when using very small tippets 7X or 8X. It is supposed to minimize the chance that a nice sized trout will snap/jerk on the tippet and break off. Apparently you can also use a larger diam for saltwater.

Anybody heard of it before, use it or know where to get some?

Greg

Rio Products makes it. It is available in flyshops.
