..we did Disney / Orlando with our girls about 6 years ago....there are bass in all the water you will see, all around you...

I carrried a telescoping spin rod and a fanny pack with texas rigged worms and grubs- our best fish was a 8 pound(verified) bass taken from under the Boardwalk on a piece of hotdog..the vendors were setting up and saw my daughter and I flailing away and showed us some bass that they had ben feeding for it would seem quite a while...

to make a long story short- the "suits " at Disney really don't want you traipsing around and fishing at will- they suggested that we hire a guide- in fact gave us a voucher in exchange for ceasing and desisting on the random fishing thing..the Guide was prohibitive in cost- like 300 smackers a half day for two= and that was a pontoon boat with a total of 4 aboard..but if you want to do stealth there are some helacious bass down there...

I guess they just couldn't handle us damn Yankees...

Yes you can fish. Yes you can rent. I got a guide for a few hours in and am for about $200. Fished live shiners and cought all the fish you could want. Fished behinde the Grand FL by the big boat. Bet $200 and did not have to bring a thing but a pen to sign on the line. I think you can bring up to 6 people but the cost only goes up a little. Call them now and ask.

Tried from the shore around the hotels. Not much luck. Find the holes and the fish are all over them. I fished in Novemeber.
