Question New Orleans - Early May

I plan to be in New Orleans in early May for work and hope to get in some fishing. I will have a few hours in the am and thought that, that might afford the chance to chase some trout and reds? Not sure, never been. Any advice on tackle, guides, what to expect, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Redfish in NOLA

Howdy:

I can hook you up w/ an outstanding guide in the Slidel area. About 45min outside of NOLA. His outfit is geared for full day trips though. Start early and done around 2 or 3 depending on the wind/weather. If you can swing a full day the redfishing and black drum is OUTSTANDING. Don't know where to send you for a half day......

Let me know if you need more info.

Tight lines:

James
