Water temps

Does anyone know the temp differences between Ambrose and the waters like the navesink or shrewsbury rivers, this time of year. Are the rivers warmer than the surrouding bays. Thanks

RE: Water temps

Joanie..
In the spring, the rivers start out colder but then grow warmer than the ocean as the sunlight gets stronger each day.We start fishing later in the day and in areas that get the most sun the longest.
Just keep in mind that the larger stripers will be moving inland to get some nookie, regardless of temps.
