Anyone have a Heritage Kayak?

I am looking to get into fly fishing from a Kayak. Primarily freshwater with occasional excursions to the coast to chase some stripers. Does anyone have a Heritage Featherlite 12 Angler Kayak? Look for a good all around vessel for both fresh and salt water and I know nothing about kayaks.

thanks

kl

I have owned the Heritage Sea Dart, same model as the Fisherman less rod holders, and got rid of it. It was not the right kayak for me. I have a friend who has the featherlite. He does not like it on the open ocean or open water on swell days. He does not make progress. He said it was a great yak for marsh and back water areas for him. He only flyfishes out of it.

Heritage just came out with "the redfish" model for the anglers and "the Marqusea" non angler. This is a sit on top model that is supposed to be stable and carry a large load. I am hoping someone can demo this soon and give us some feedback on it.

Check out the info on the redfish in the picture.
