Well, what's the verdict?

How did everyone fare on the Texas coastal fishing this year? I was not able to get down there as often as I would like, but was else is new? I did Port O'Connor several times without much luck. The run-off from the Guadalupe River was a major factor there. A few days in Rockport in June was a bust.

Guess my total fishing was 15-18 days but the total catching was dismall. Never got much feedback from anyone.

How did ya'll do? Anyone still fishing ?

I was fishing trout in the mountains all summer, but I hear it's good fishing this time of year on the coast. Someday soon I hope to try it.

Ahoy Bones from a rookie fly-fisher,
I hit the boards in Galveston this summer and did real well with good size whiting and sand trout. I also hit the surf near access #2 from Surfside and caught a few blacktips @ 2nd gut and bulls that we yakked out.
Not much else due to a heavy workload. Gonna give the skinny rods a shot.
