rod blank

hi , i would like to build a size 5 rod , it will be my first, can some one recomend a blank that will give a good performance with good price. am trying to do it for 100$ including evrything. thanks

at www.rodbuilding.org they show a rod wraper under the libary section and how to build it. here places to check out for cheap blanks

the hook and hackle company = 20% discount web order only and they sell batson as there h&h im6 blanks they also have a specials list on there web page to the right of the screen so you will have to drag the bar over to find out more you may want to sing up for there e mail so you can find out about there speacels me i would go for a 8'6" 5 wt for $60.75
that and a h&h cork grip of your choise and 20 bucks a pac bay a7 flush mount reel seat all aluminum $13.8 and h&hchrome traditional snake guide sets for a 8.5 foot rod &5.5 plus tip top chrome and size needed $1.25 winding check $.50 and hook keeper $.33 total $102.13 + 20 % discount bring total to $ 81.74 + s&h what lest over you build a rod wraper whith that or buy one any wyas plus i dont want to forget thread$2.2 and rod finishflex coat high build two oz kit item # flxcoat $9.50 total for this = 11.7 - 20 % = 9.36 +81.74 =$91.1
