Anyone ever try the West Falmouth Marshes?

I was wondering if any of you guys have ever fished the marshes behind Old Silver. I know that the mouth can be very productive, but I am also willing to bet that you might find SRTs back there. Any thoughts? Thanks

They get pretty warm during the summer which shuts down much of the day time fishing.

Thanks Bob, I was thinking more of early season - as in ASAP. Thinking more of early season - or now for SRTs. I know that it might seem a little.....

W .Falmouth marshes and estuaries

Early season along the capes Buzzards Bay shore line can be very productive, starting at Mashnee Island south past Woodshole to Nobska light, there are numerous creeks and flats that get the first arrivals of schoolies. As far as searun browns look towards the salt ponds in south Falmouth towards Mashpee,or Scortons creek in Sandwich/Barnstable.

I agree. I made a point of hitting a few of those places last spring and was pleasantly surprised. No monsters, but there can be a lot of schoolies stacked up back in those creeks.

PM me if you want specifics.

I have never seen anything worth catching under the bridge at Old Silver. Out front and off the Cliffs, you can get lots of small ones and some times a nice one....

You can get some small Bluefish that wander up the creek in front of Wild Harbor Estates (New Silver) but not that far in...couple hundred yards only.

...but I have never fished this eary in the season....
