Bear's Den Show

So who went to the show last night? I thought it was pretty good. I liked Bob's casting demo.

I saw some flies there I really liked. I tied one of my own this morning. Obviously it's still "in development". It's supposed to be a Herring and about 8-inches long. Does anyone know who the tier is who made the one like this?

I used Mirror Image belly material and topped it with super hair. The head is holographic loco foam and epoxy. The next ones won't have such a close body to point gap.

I believe thats a fly by Masahito Sato, he does some incredible stuff. I had a great time and the show was, as usual, excellent. Even the food was OK.Saw lots of familiar faces and met some new friends. I really got a kick out of that Sage cast analizer(?).

Those are tied by masahito sato slinger,I talked to him last year in marlboro or wilmington,he uses wig hair.I tied some up last year the bigger flies were a little tough to cast with the single hander, the 2 hander had no problem.

He will be in Newport Sat for the SWE fair along with some other exceptional tiers and a bunch of custom wood turners, also the master of the rigged slug go, Steve McKenna.

I thought the show was a keeper in it's new venue. Spent the evening working an another forums booth, tying and meeting old friends.
