I don't know about guides out of Port A, but if you're willing to go to Corpus Christi, get in touch with a guide named Cliff Webb. My dad and I have gone out with him numerous times. IMO, he's the best guide down there bar none. He does a lot of fishing in Baffin Bay, and now is the time of year to catch the big sow specks down there. But, he gets really booked up, so call soon.

Also, tell him to buy a Top Spot map for that area, which you can buy at any sporting goods shop in that area. I think even HEB in Port A sells it. It shows a lot of good areas to fish, water depths, and is printed on waterproof paper. I never go fishing without it.

You can check with Dean Thomas at Slowrides Guide Service in Aranasas Pass, or Capt. Sally Moffett in Rockport. Port Aransas has a lot of shallow water guides. Some of them book out of Fisherman's Wharf. Also, check with Woodies or Port A Outfitters.
