THE TABLE WAS SET BUT MR. BASS WAS A NO SHOW!!!

Fished the Stony Brook area mid-moring today with perfect
conditions. Out going tide with a mild southerly breeze
with the threat of passing thunderstorms in the area. In
the past these conditions have produce some fantastic fishing. Today however all I had was casting practice. Be-
lieve the season is a little behind due to colder than
usual water temps. However I know this can change within a days' time. The table is set now I'm just waiting for Mr. Bass to take his seat. Gotta go I hear the dinner bell ringing. Will keep you posted on tonights dinner guests. Rgrds Salty

RE: THE TABLE WAS SET BUT MR. BASS WAS A NO SHOW!!!

Sorry I can't report that dinner was any better. Rode down
to Sunken Meadow. Water was dirty with lots of sea lettuce
so I went further west and fished the Cold Spring Harbor
causeway with several other fishermen. Conditions were
much better but the action was nil . Left just after dark . Spoke with several others that have worked that
area as of late and they say it's been slow. A few
schoolies and 1 keeper just legal. Did see some bunker
action but other than that zilch. later salty.
