Lots of micro stripers from mouth to upriver all chasing VERY small bait. Mackerel of a good size out front in in my opinion thinning. Livelined after full day with limited results, Big bait small stripers? All in all a good morning on the water. Good luck.

Tuesday early evening I had a thunderous strike on a 9" white sluggo on the surface. Laid it in by some rocks by the Coast Guard Station and a great white hit it like a baby seal - or it was just a big bass. It didn't take the bait. I believe it just tail slapped it and felt the line and laughed at me. Good adrenaline rush.
On Sunday I picked up a small bass on the same rig. But the action has been slow - for me - casting lures on the surface.
