Wellfleet info

I'm vacationing in Wellfleet (Lieutenant's Island) the week of 7/8. Any info on where to fish would be appreciated. Any spots on the island or should I fish the outer beaches? I have access to a beach pass. What type of flies work best? What tides should I fish?

The area from Sunken MEadow Beach in North Eastham up to Lt Island should be good for bluefish. I was there last week and it was loaded with fish, even caught one monster at 33". Too windy for us to do much with flies, although we hooked up on a couple using clousers. I personally like fishing the outgoing tide if you are wading, just keep walking along the flats as the water dumps out. You can do the same thing on the outside of Great Island in Welfleet, park at the nature trail parking lot near "Duck Harbor", follow the trail and the walk over the dunes to the bay beach, still may be early enough to do some striper fishing out there.
