WAY OT: Budget Nantucket Lodging?? Is there such a thing

I know this sounds like an oxymoron....I've been there enough to know this. I am doing my first mini triathlon on 7/10 on Ack. I was going to try and bring my wife and two sons over, ages 8 and 5, but it is very costly to find accommodations that can handle a group of 4 that is not extremely expensive. Especially when you tack on ferry's, food, etc. And yes, I know it is high season. I'm not a cheapskate, but does anyone out here know of a reasonable place that could take us. I was hoping for something @ $250/night, but from what I have seen on line, I am out of my mind. I was thinking of going solo and making it a day trip, but I am not sure this is a great idea either. Any advice or ideas is greatly appreciated.

DUDE. That is money!!! I just got a friday night room...no room on Saturday, but I was planning on coming back after the race on the 815pm high speed. Going to keep checking for something on Saturday in the mean time. Would be nice to go to the party's after I try and kill myself in themini-triathlon.
