twisted bimini twist
When I tie a bimini twist a short portion of the legs closest to the knot often seems to have become distorted by the pressure I applied when I spread my knees to "roll down" the knot with the tag end. Clearly my efforts to form a compact, tightly wrapped knot exposes some portion of the doubled line that had previously been twisted together. Is this merely a cosmetic issue, or are these portions of the loop compromised? Is there something I can do to avoid distorting the line when I tie the knot? Thank you for any help.
