Ocean Drive, Newport activity
I'd like to say I crushed them early this morning out along Brenton Point in Newport today but that wasn't exactly the case. I ended up getting out a little later than I had planned. I did have one of those One hit/one fish days, that still made it better than getting blanked. Not to mention that the one striper I got was a nice fat 30 incher. It was rough with plenty of white water but the tide was not exactly in my favor. I wasn't fly-fishing and decided to try out a new Yo'Zuri lure I just bought. The thing worked real nice. But as soon as I let this guy go that was all she wrote. That and the fact that it was about 7:50 AM. Needless to say, I'll be back tomorrow at a much earlier time. Hopefully with better results to report.
