Thanks!

Been to Xcalak, but it wasn't DIY...

Stayed at Costa de Cocos and fished five days for bones, permit, tarpon, 'cuda, and jacks.

Caught many bones, saw many permit and tarpon. Hooked and lost three permit, one of which was 20lbs+. Lost a decent tarpon as well. One day, I hooked and lost a slam, which was depressing, but a definite learning experience.

One of the guys in our crew landed his first permit on a Peterson's, and it was 25lb. Just a massive slab.

Beautiful area... the lodge, food, and guides were top notch. I'd go back in heartbeat.

Be safe, be safe, oh... and by the way... be safe.
