bow pulpits built in are they in the way and hydrasports

So looking at new to me boats and keep seeing bow pulpits for anchors that seem to be built into boats now. Since I have no experience personally do these get in the way as much as I think they would?

Still looking for that 21 foot great MPG inshore offshore CC boat that acts like a heavier 23-24 ft fishing machine! Hydra sports seems to come up in that category any opinions based on facts or personal experience?

Thanks Marty

FWIW the deep-V Parker 21' CC is a dang pocket battleship! She's a true 21-foot hull, no bow pulpit, no FUGLY Euro-transom and heavy for her size, but carries well.

IMHO you'd need to go to a bigger Regulator (23') to get a better riding boat.

My Stratos 20 hull is based on the HS Vector mold, and it's a solid boat. It does not have a pulpit, nor would I ever want one, especially if you plan to flyfish. The anchor locker is plenty big enough, and I rarely anchor anyway. I mostly drift and use a drift sock.

I looked hard at the Vector 20 before Kevin (GoFish) convinced me to go with a Stratos. It was a long roundtrip to SC, but definitely worth it. My previous boat was a HydraSports 19 and the quality of that hull made HS my number one choice for my next boat.

The HydraSports Vector, Stratos Bluewater, Javelin, and Quest hulls from the 90s OMC years are essentially the same hull. 18 degrees deadrise and built like a tank. The Vector has the Kevlar hull, so if you can find one of those for a reasonable price, you should take a good look at it.

Good luck in your search.
