Albie Hunt and Striper Watching

On Friday I decided to try an area with a flat but also a good outlet with a potential for Albies. I did not see a single Albie break but did find a secondary outlet with a steep drop off that looked like it had potential. No Albies for me this year.

While walking to the secondary outlet I saw a school of bait. Casting to the school resulted in a fat schoolie. I also saw many bigger bass on a flat….got lots of looks and rejects from the larger bass. Got eight small schoolies all blind casting. A bubble gum and white deceiver and a small sand eel imitation, blue and silver worked.

Hey Bucko keep hunting, the albies are still hanging around. I had a pretty decent afternoon from shore on Friday and picked up another one on a quick trip Sunday afternoon.

The spot we met at a couple of years ago has been producing too.

Hopefully they hang in there a while longer.
