Tarpon just off the beach
We spent the whole weekend chasing Poons just 1/4 mile north of John's Pass about 300 yards from the beach. I haven't seen this many triple digit poons concentrated in one area for a while. Once the Tarpon moved on, we spent the rest of the day boating black tip and bonnet head shark. and the grand finale for the day was when I hooked up with a 5 foot hammerhead that took me around the boat 4 or 5 times before he decided he didn't want to play that game anymore.
