Help! Need info on Florida fishing

My wife is a school teacher and I am retired. I would like to spend a week in florida saltwater bottom or pier fishing over Christmas break. Never fished down past the outer banks and would like to give it a shot. Looking for info as to where would be a good place to spend the week with the anticipation of hitting decent quantities of fish. Thanks in advance.

I live in south Florida and fish quite a bit. If you are interested in pier fishing then head down here. A good reference is the current issues of Florida Sportsman. There are various piers from West Palm beach through Miami so you will have a great pick of them. Good Luck

if your not planning to go down far south i live in crystal river 1hr north of tampa and that time of year here you can clean up on redfish trout and cobia here just by surf fishing, wading, and goo the power plant and fishing off their dock
