Conservation ethics and abiding by the fish and game laws are (or should be) continuing subjects of immediate interest to all of us who fish (and hunt). Since I fish the Cape, and will be moving there permanently in the forseable future, I have more than just a passing interest in all of this. As I recall from a much earlier thread, there are Environmental Protection Officers (EPO's) on the Cape who are charged with enforcing the fish regs. I am looking for some insight into how many there are, where they are located (offices), phone number(s) where they can be contacted, and, most importantly, will they respond when called. Since I do most of my fishing at night I have to ask if they are active during darkness. (After a hard days work I might be a bit reluctant to get my bones out of a warm bed in the middle of the night.) And perhaps the most obvious question of all .......do they take their jobs seriously. If the consensus is that they don't, then I won't bother to make that call.
I would be most appreciative for your comments and insights.
