Houghton's pond in the Blue Reservation area gets a decent stocking in both the spring and fall. If you are FFing your best bet is from the beach side.
Montanas, Hares ear nymphs and Helgramites have produced for me in the very early spring when water temps are still in the 40s.
There are some suprisingly good size browns that get taken out of here.
