I predict 10-14 days before you see shad caught at Rocks Village.
As for Ct. river system shad, I'd say start fishing the Chicopee in two weeks.
The Ct. river itself at Holyoke is hard to predict because runoff levels vary widely
from year to year, but usually nothing much is happening until May 1.
