I fished Rhode Island briefly on both Saturday and Sunday to no avail.
Saturday was spent between Salt Pond in Galilee, and then on the out going tide
at the Narrow River Bridge. Although there were a few fly fishermen at Narrow
River the outcome was all the same. Nothing. Not even a hit. I spent about an
hour at Second Beach on Easter Sunday, but the wind made it more difficult than
it was worth. However it was just fun to be out on the water. It won't be long until
it's all worth the effort. To my surprise there wasn't as much seaweed in the
corner of Second Beach. If there were fish in the area they were being very
selective at what was being thrown at them. Either way, it will be a while until
fish are up in my neck of the woods on the North Shore. I fished Salem Harbor
a few times just to see if there were any winter hold overs in the estuaries,
but I haven't seen any fish up there as well. I'll keep you posted.
