I spent about 3 hours of hard fishing today on Shell Point. I was there from about
13:20 to 1600 hrs. The tide was running out and the water was suprisingly warm,
considering the time of year. The mud flats above the point arm up nice and
spill the warm water around the point on the out going tide. 1 other fly fisherman
no fish, plenty of small bait. This spot lit up last year around the 14th. I
see no reason it won't do the same this year. Small clousers, sinking line and
an after noon high tide. Fish the out going tide near the mored boat in the
channel. There's a sharp drop off 7 ft. to 15 ft. The schoolies stack up
behind the drop off.
