Did you notice if you are casting at the same speed? I do much of my trout fishing with a 7' 4 wt and find that I move the short rod faster. With longer & heavier rods it seems like I cast slower. Has anyone else noticed a difference like this?
I can't comment on the difference in tailing loops because throwing them is one of the few con-stants in my casting, but I'm working on it.
