My name is Rick. I am a fishaholic. I live on a lake in Holland MA with my 17
yo daughter, and two dogs, Moe the Newf and Tucker the Leonberger. I am 44 yo
and am an Engineering Manager working in Acton MA in the area of new product
hardware development.
I have been fishing since I can remember - early mornings stomping the rivers
in CT with my brother. I lived on the left coast for awhile and became a
trout/fly fishing fanatic. Fished most of California, Utah, Wyoming, parts
of Idaho.
When I moved back east I was jaded with the quality of west coast trout
fishing. Fresh water bass fishing became my passion. Although I had done
some saltwater fishing it had mostly been from the deck of a party boat,
or cattle boat as we used to say.
A couple years ago I decided to give saltwater fishing a serious try, took
the plunge and bought a brand new 19' Sea Pro, 135 IO, set up very nicely.
I haven't looked back. I spend as much time on the water as I can. I was
on the water in March last year and checked out of my job for most of
the summer. I fished just about every day weather permitting, mostly
out of Pleasant Bay, Chatham Harbor, and Pamet Harbor on the bayside.
Got an early start this year also, out of Green Pond. I am in Truro
for a couple weeks in August, and am looking forward to fishing
again out of Green Pond in September/October.
I am a catch and release fisherman (kept one bass last year, may keep one this
year) and just enjoy the fishing experience.
I enjoy this message board and check it out most every day. I've found it
to be a wealth of information on just about every topic fishing related. I
hope to contribute more as my experiences grow.
See you all out there.
Rick
