Someone once told me, although I can't remember who, that the flourocarbon,
when tied to a mono segment, will eventually cut into the mono and 'cut'
the knot. I have not had this happen to me yet, and the same Mirage tippet
has handled some pretty big fish, however, I tied my own. By choice, I tend
to stay away from pre-fab knotted leaders period.
