Hi everyone, my name is Steve Salloway and I've been bitten by the Striper Bug for 2 years.I live in Worcester and work at a large advertising agency in Metrowest. I'm single, 34 y.o. and fish mostly Scusset, the Canal, Sandwich, Joppa Flats and Plum Isle. I started flyfishing in 1982 when I moved to a lake in Shrewsbury MA. Self taught through books and evenings catching pan fish and eventually largemouths on the fly. Couldn't beat the thrill of a largemouth smashing a popper destroying the absolute stillnessof the glass-like silver surface of the lake. Stopped fishing in college due to other distractions, then picked it up again about five years ago, again in freshwater. After going to the winter sport shows and catching the likes of Tabory, Popovic, and Pallot decided to gve the brine a try. Caught nine small schoolies in Gloucester the third or fourth time out and never looked back. Action, the lure of big fish and some of the most majestic scenery in the world keep me coming bac
k. Addicted? You bet. Flyfishing opened a world to me of color, sensations, and true passion. It's as complex or simple as I choose to make it. It gives me somewhere to go, gives me something to read, something to think and talk about. It's my therapy. I post to REELTIME sometimes, but read it almost every day. This BBS gives me a chance to think about fishing when I can't fish, some new ideas of how to fish better, and solice when I find I'm not the only one who isn't catching any fish. You people are my soulmates in this great endevour. I salute and thank each of you for sharing your experiences and know how. Keep up the good work and tight lines!
