Can't respond to your inquiry about the present state of the outer beaches, altho the current Fishwire does that.....but beware the dreaded "mung". Thought you might be interested in an observation I made in late May, however, which is that just below (1/4 mile) the Head of the Meadow parking lots (to the right) there is a new and very long bar which formed over the winter, about 20-30 yards off shore. You can see it at low tide, but it is otherwise unseen. It looks like an ideal setup for corralling some fish, flyrod or otherwise. Ckeck it out. I am headed (due to a crazy schedule) to Hyannis on 8/7 for three days, then home, then back to P'town for 2 weeks on 8/14.
