One thing I might add re: Taste of the stockies.

Have you tasted one of these lately? One of the reasons I stopped fishing on my return from Alaska twenty-years ago, was the poor taste of the trout.

I don't know if they've changed the feed or what, but these 'bows and brookies are mighty tasty! No liver pellet taste whatsoever. they even have pinkish flesh before cooking, not like the pasty white jobs I remember from the '70's.

Maybe Caleb or somebody else out there could tell us what they feed those farm-raised trout?

PS Tips on buying store fish without feeling guilty: Farm-Raised Salmon. Occasional Alaskan Halibut. During the summer Sockeye Runs in Alaska, you can buy fresh red salmon which has been flown in!
