01/08 Sinking Lines ? More than Intermediate?

My experience with the Cortland 444sl Int has been that on your average retrieve
it doesn't get down much below 6-12 inches. I'd like something which sinks a tad
more, without being a bottom dragger. I don't think I want to futz around with sink
tips as I'm just begining and have enough trouble setting the hook (though maybe i'm
looking at this the wrong way) So, are all intermediates created equal? or are some
noticeably more sinking than others? I'm not gonna through the old one away, but
am planning to expand the rod dept. and will need another line, just fine tuning.

Thanks for the Help ! As Always

Dave

PS: You know you've got cabin fever when you meet the postman before he gets to your house
to see if any new catalogues came (because the pages in the old one are worn too thin
to turn !)
