I know you don't want a sink-tip but the Orvis Depth-Charge lines are great.
The line is composed of 30 ft. of heavy sinking line attached to about 90
ft. of intermediate line. The line comes in different wieghts or grains. I use the
300 grain which puts me down >12 ft. depending on the current. I've had an
occational problem with the intermediate line that the head is attached to but
Orvis has allways replaced it free of charge. Good Luck
